 HEADLINE: RUMOR HAS IT!
BRANDON HAS MADE THE
TOP 40!
According To Usa Today: Brandon Rogers, a 28-year-old L.A. resident, was all set to sing the Donny Hathaway version of Leon Russell's A Song for You, a common choice thanks to Elliott Yamin's impressive rendition this past season. Just as he was about to start, he heard someone at the next table over singing that very song, so he made an instant switch to Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed. The producers asked him to do another song, so he sang Rascal Flatts' Moving On, and they told him he had a "real nice spirit" and produced the golden ticket signifying he'd made it to round two.
Rogers evidently has a cd out now called "Automatic", although details on who released it and how many copies were cut are sketchy.
